New Product from Creek Bank Creations...Sports Slices! If you have a child in sports it doesn't take long to get very tired of scrapbooking the same things over and over and over. I put a great deal of effort into designing things for Creek Bank that help with these types of issues. Our new line of Sports Slices are a unique twist for sports pages. Each Sports Slice is cut from our heavy weight chipboard. This means you can paint in, drag ink on it, or emboss on it without it warping, bending, cracking or tearing. The layout above shows the volleyball slice painted white. I just put the blue cardstock behind it to match the team photo. I added our volleyball chipboard title, which I drug ink over.

This sports slice has black ink drug over it. Very simple, very nice!

This sports slice has paint on it, which I sealed with Matte Finish Mod Podge.

This is my favorite technic! I just love heat setting Ultra Thick Embossing powder. This is Melt Art in Blue. You can get a similar look by painting the chipboard, then using versa mark and Ultra Thick embossing powder.

Would love to hear your commets here and we'll add them as apart of Keely's give away!!

Hope you can join us this weekend...we have nearly 50 women cropping!

I have a confession to make.

I'm a blog addict. It's true.

I follow over 50 blogs. The exact number is 58 as of today. I love reading about other people's lives, families, interests, businesses, and hobbies. It's so fascinating to me. It's like reality tv on the internet.

Since Julie started this blog, we've realized in talking to our customers that a lot of them weren't blog readers. So I just want to pass along a great tool in order to help you all follow our blog (and the other 10 zillion out there on the web) and never miss an update.

I use Google Reader. It's sort of like an email inbox, where you can go to get the updates to all of your favorite blogs. It’s free, and if you use gmail, the interface is very familiar. All you have to do is sign up for a Google account if you don't already have one. In order to create an account, click on the link above for Reader. On the sign in page, there is a box in the lower right corner that says "Create an account", click it and sign up for an account. Then you will have access to Reader.

Once you've signed up for Google Reader, all you have to do is add your subsciptions. I personally think this is the easiest way to do it. Go to Google Reader and click on the link on the left that says "Add Subscription". Paste in the URL of the site you want to subscribe to, and Google Reader will try to auto-discover the feed and add it to your reader.

After adding the blog addresses you want to follow, you only have to check Google Reader to read your favorite blogs!! No more going to every single blog to read each post! And don’t worry, if you want to make a comment on a post, you only have to click the post title in Google Reader, and you’ll be taken straight to the site to leave your comment! It’s really easy and time saving if you're a big follower like me! :)

So go subscribe to our blog so you don't miss out on any of our tutiorals, product reviews, or GIVEAWAYS!

Check in tomorrow, I'll be posting another giveaway of our new Creek Bank Creations Chipboard products.

Hi everyone!
This is Keely and I work at Creek Bank Creations. This is my first time posting on the Creek Bank blog so I'm going to make it fun and give away some goodies! We want to get the word out about our new blog and we need your help. So to entice everyone to help spread the word, we're giving away one of our custom Build A Books!

We have a custom chipboard book program that allows you to build your own name/word chipboard book. We can do just about anything up to 8 letters. The letters or numbers are not attached to the pages so you cover and accent both the letters/numbers and the pages to your liking and then adhere them together. This gives you the ultimate ability to build exactly what you want. Plus our chipboard is the thickest in the industry. These books are sturdy and will not only stand up, but also hold up very well over time. They are strong!

Here's the link if you want to go check them out on our website.
So all you have to do is leave a comment on this post and you'll be entered to win a Build A Book of your choice. If you also post this giveaway on your blog, website or in a forum, you'll be entered THREE times to win!!!! Just make sure you leave a link in your comment so I can see where you posted the giveaway. Deadline to enter is Friday, Feb.20 at Noon CST.

So get out there and tell all your friends. Good luck!

We have several new designs of chipboard books coming! (Spring 2009) As new products arrive I'll post the samples here. Our chipboard is really the thickest on the market. It can't be cut in any machine on the market, and is professionally finished. This matters because our books don't warp of bend. The pages don't rip, and you can sand off the edges of the books and get a beautiful finish!

You can read how we recommend the finishing of chipboard on our website.

You own that machine that cuts great looking paper right? We'll Creek Bank Creations, Inc. is launching a new line of products under the name bulk city. The items in the bulk city are meant to be used in cutting machines and sytems you already own! Get creative with what you already own by adding a special twist! Today we're talking about cuttable canvas. This canvas is 12x12 and cuts like a dream. We cut ours in both Cricut(tm) in Inspiration (tm) with a standard cutting blade. (refer to our website for more details)

Here is a nice close up of a flower I cut using the Cricut (tm) Machine and the George Cartridge.
Here is another with a swirl I took off another cartridge.
To make these flowers try these steps!

Cut your cuttable canvas to fit your mat size. The cuttable canvas can be cut in your paper cutter. (oh how cool is that?) Now stamp any image onto the canvas. I just used Cat's eye inks, and some Tim Holtz Distress inks.
Here I just drug my ink pad over the cutable canvas. The more I push the darker the ink.

Place the canvas on the cutting mat and cut your design. I cut flowers from the George Cartridge, sizing them in various sizes from 2"-3".

Peel your designs off the mat!

I wanted to show you that the machine can even cut letters in great detail. In this photo I just drug ink over the cuttable canvas.

Now you can accent the edges with more ink.

You can even cut a fun tree, and accent it with buttons!

I love using the Heidi Swapp Edge Distressor on the cutable canvas. Don't forget you can also rip it for a great look!

I cut an envelope from one of the cartridges...Lots of fun options here!

This is a fun product with many great uses! We'll be carrying it on our website, and at trade shows. If you love those clock hands you'll find them on our website!

Update: Amanda Zimmer wanted to know if she could cut the canvas with the Big Shot. We played with it today in house and we got a good clean cut, and what is super dooper awesome is that it embosses wonderfully. We also cut the canvas using the Pink Squeeze from Quickutz, and the Tag Along. I could not get my revolution to cut the canvas...but I'm not sure I didn't break it a few weeks ago ramming something in it that was tooooo fat. I'll post some samples of the embossed cuttable canvas later.
