Lickety Slippers Scrapbook Page Class offered at Scrap Camp November 6:00 pm

Getting more photos on your scrapbook pages saves you time and money.  During this class we will explore the NEW LICKETY SLIPPERS 8"x8"  page protectors from Bazzill Basics Paper. When complete this layout can hold 17 photos.

The photo above shows how the layout will open up when you lift the 8"x8" page protector that we will attach to the page.  You will learn how there pages can be easily worked into your 12"x12" albums.
The photo above shows the second set of flaps that open to the left and right.
The two page design we will complete in class will be for a 12"x12" top loading album.  If you own a different style of album you will have to adapt the layout to fit your style of album.  (I will help).

The photo above shows the two interior page protectors open.

We will build this two-page layout using the NEW MISTLETOE paper from Bo Bunny Press.  In class you will receive a full package of Lickety Slippers Page protectors from Bazzill Basics Paper, Papers from Bo Bunny Press, Custom designed and cut title from Creek Bank Creations, and dimensional chipboard stickers from Bo Bunny Press.

We will also talk about the popular chevron design that is appearing in scrapbooking.  I will teach you how easy it is to make your own dimensional chevron designs.

This class is just one of the many classes we are offering at SCRAP CAMP November 9-11, 2012. You've got questions about Scrap Camp and I've got answers!

1.  What are the hours of this event?
This event will start Friday at Noon and close Sunday at Noon.  The registration includes all meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday.  If you are traveling from out of town please note there are no places close to eat.  Subway, Wendy's Arby's and more can be found within 15 minutes. You can bring snack food with you, and we'll provide the drinks.

2.  Where exactly is this place?
The event will be held at Hanging Rock Christian Camp in West Lebanon, Indiana.  This camp is 2 hours from the Indianapolis Indiana airport, and a good solid hour from the Champaign, Illinois airport.  If you are flying in you will need to provide ground  transportation.  For those of you more local, this camp is just 15 minutes north of The Beef House on OLD 63.  (Covington Indiana).

3.  I live close is there a day fee?
When the Scrap Camp registration goes live on August 27th at 9am you will see the option for day croppers. The $45.00 fee includes three days of unlimited scrapbooking . (you can come and go anytime you would like). The fee also includes lunch and dinner on Saturday.

4.  Can I get more information on the room upgrades?
There are 7 rooms that are available for Room upgrades.  When registration opens August 27th at 9am you can ADD a room to your registration.  This will automatically move you from dormitory lodging to a semi private room. All room upgrades are $40.00.

Here is how the rooms are set up
Room 1 full size bed
Room 2 one full size bed, and one bunk with a full size bed on bottom and a twin on top.
Room 3  2 twin beds
Room 4 Queen Bed
Room 6 2 twin beds
Room 7 2 bunks with a full size bed on bottom and a twin on top.
Room 8 2 bunks with a full size bed on bottom and a twin on top.

These rooms are all in the same building and are very close to the scrapbooking space.  They are NOT HANDICAPPED accessible.  These bedrooms share two sets of bathrooms and showers and all have doors on the rooms.  If you rent a room upgrade you do not need to bring sheets or blankets.  These rooms are available first come, first serve which is why I am releasing registration at the same time and letting everyone know the options.  Here is the most important thing...if you are coming with three other gals you only need to reserve ONE ROOM.  ONE PERSON PUTS THE ROOM UPGRADE IN THE CART...and then you split the payment among yourselves.  This means a group of four gals would end up dividing the $40.00 among themselves at $10.00 each.  When you purchase a room upgrade please list in the comments section who is sleeping in your room.

5.  How does the group discount work?
Groups of 10 or more scrapbooking women receive an additional $10.00 off the registration fee.  The group leader should contact me about this, and I will give each group leader a password.  Each member from that group will need to use the group registration when checking out and they must use the password in the comments section at checkout.  Anyone from a group can additionally purchase the room upgrades just as I've described above.  Each peson will be required to sign up individually.  I would also like to request that if you sell other products like Stampin Up or Creative Memories that you not use MY RETREAT as a means to promote your business.  This discount is being offered to groups of women who scrapbook together.

6.  What will we do all weekend?
This is about you coming and scrapbooking.  You can sign up to take classes at an addtional fee if you want to.  It's about free time.  It's about relaxing. I will take care of all teh details, and you will have NO WORRIES.  It's about you doing what you love.  Please do not come to this event to sell your jewelry, Creative Memories, Stampin Up or other products to the women at this event.

I'm looking forward to this event and hope you can join us!  Please feel free to email me at creekbc@comcast.net with your questions.  You can also view our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Creek-Bank-Creations/435886740236

Scrap Camp Questions

by on 2:20 PM
You've got questions about Scrap Camp and I've got answers! 1.  What are the hours of this event? This event will start Friday ...
Registration for Scrap Camp Opens August 23, 2012!

I host Scrap Camp for our customers because most crafters struggle with having time to complete projects. I'm excited to announce details about our fall event.

The camp is hosted at Hanging Rock Christain Camp. Hanging Rock Camp offers beautiful facilites for crafting retreats, and November will be a great time of year for you to finish up projects that need to be done by the end of the year!

You can see from the photos I took of our May event that there is plenty of room to spread out and work, and the lighting is GREAT! The dinning hall is attached to this building, and all sleeping accomdations are easily within walking distance.

One of the great things about this event is that you can shop our store with the hassel of the crowds you'll find in our booth at scrapbook trade shows!
New this fall I've added two new teachers!  Kelly Nufer and Anne Lumly will be joining me teaching classes, and selling their own scrapbook supplies.  I wanted to bring more variety to the mix, and these girls will do that!  Each woman has her own scrapbook business and are proven experienced teachers.  Part of what makes this hobby interesting is learning new things, so don't be afraid to take some classes.

Registration opens August 27th at 9am.
Registration before September 31st is only $99.99
This includes dormitory sleeping, all your scrapbooking and 4 meals.
(your only additional fee would be classes or a room upgrade)

Anyone with a group of 10 or more should contact me before September 31st.  Groups of 10 or more save an additional $10.00 on the rate.

The above photo shows dormitory lodging. Dormitory lodging is included in the standard rate of $99.99 for those who register before September 31st. You'll need to bring bed linens and towells.
The photo above shows a room upgrade.  Room upgrades are optional.  Once the room is purchased the people staying in that room divide the cost.  (only one person buys the room, and if the room accomodates 4 people you divide that fee among yourselves).

I hope you'll plan on setting some time aside to scrapbook with us!

Bo Bunny Press Apple Cider Paper now in stock!

Smile

(taken from the Bo Bunny Press Blog)

 Designer Tips:
1.    When choosing papers, be sure to consider both sides. The Apple Cider Journey paper has some really great shapes on the front side, and a plaid on the back side. I cut the shaped piece in the upper left side, the apple, the upper scalloped border and the word smile from the front side. The plaid on the back made the perfect print for layering punched flowers.

2.    Another way I used the backside was to choose the Apple Cider Dot paper. It had a nice word print that I used to help center my design and a dark dotted backside to punch a border and use for the back layers of my punched flowers.

3. Don't forget the packaging! In addition to using the layered chipboard for added dimension around my page, I also used the packaging to punch out leaves for my flowers.

4. Pull out your old scalloped scissors and use them to cut a contrast border around select pieces. I used mine to cut the scalloped border around the shaped piece.

 Left Overs:
1. I have a LOT of the combo stickers left over. I will be using both the alphabets, borders and other shapes on future layouts. Those stickers go a LONG way and are such a great embellishment to buy to help stretch your supplies.

2. I also have quite a bit left of the Coffe Dot Cardstock. I keep a file folder for all my Double Dot Paper scraps. It will go into that folder to be used when I need accents.
Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Papers: Apple Cider Collection-Apple Cider, Apple Cider Bounty, Apple Cider Dot and Apple Cider Journey
Cardstock: Double Dot in Coffe Dot
Layered Chipboard: Apple Cider
Stickers: 12 x 12 Combo Sticker/ Apple Cider
