It's finally here!

The Donna Downey Canvas Album!


This album was designed by Donna Downey and is manufactured by Prima Marketing.






Page Protectors with orange zig zag stitching on the side.
Canvas pages are stitched around the edges.

Now to the layouts...

It’s easy to look at a designers work and think…”I wish I could” or “I could never”. Part of what we love to do is tell you…”YES YOU CAN”.

Let’s look at the work Marcie Morgan completed in detail and you’ll see why YOU CAN!

Lots of mixed media here and those good ole fashioned pop dots. Gotta love them. Did you see the ribbon was attached using staples…and the paper block is adhered with sewing? Great unique ways to set off a page!

This page shows a great layout using the products from the kit with little alternation. Just some ink on the edges and a few pearl accents. Marcie made the journaling block on her computer and it balances the page out!

Lots to note here!
Notice the outlining detail here. Look around the sticker letters, and the flowers.
Another mixture of stapling and sewing. The antique trim looks great stapled on and turned into a ruffle.
Marcie thought the brown border on the right was too wide, so she just cut it down.
The big flower on the left Marcie made using scraps of paper and a spare button she had. It’s accented with lime stickles, which she also used on the flower.
The brown swirl at the top of the flower didn’t come that way from the punch out sheet. Marcie cut it and put it together to make the shape she wanted.
Marcie mixed up the font styles on her title for a great look! Lessons to learn…
Use my pen to outline letters, or items to move color around and highlight things.Use various forms of adhesion.

Happy Birthday Card 3 details here
1. She outlined the inside the of frame, and she left the pen outline on the butterfly. This is a simple detail that adds interest and moves color around the card.
2. The dots on the circle border strip at the bottom were brown. Her answer to make them match her project? She colored them black using copic markers! It’s cool to see how the glitter still shows through! (love that!)
3. Marci cut the butterfly out, then put a light coat of stickles on it, and set it aside to dry. The result is the curved look you see…very cool. This look would look great on flowers, clouds, kites…lots of embellishments!

You may of guessed that as a business owner I don't get much scrapbooking done. Here's my addition to the layouts for the club kit. (pretty amazing I found the time!). I used my photos from the white challenge I never got around to and mixed it up with the sketch from this month's challenge. I've learned a great deal from Marcie Morgan over the past few weeks and I've incorporated some ideas here!

The white scalloped circle you see on the left is brown pattern paper from the kit. I didn't want brown, so I flipped it over and used the back. The same goes for the scalloped border on the right. I used the back side. I messed around with the pearls, put them on all over the left and didn't like them. I found that I could get them off using Un-do and moved them over the right.

Our new chipboard swirl painted, and distressed with our sanding stick. (this product ships in next two weeks)

I hope the kit does for you what it did for me. It got me moving and trying new things!

Happy Earth Day!

In celebration of Earth Day, we decided to reveal our "Green Prize" that we will be giving away at our National Scrapbook Day Celebration May 1 & 2. Take a look!

We're giving away three prize packages during our National Scrapbook Day Event. In order to win a prize you'll have to come and scrapbook with us! During our two days of scrapbooking we'll be giving away tickets.

How does one get tickets???
Each registered scrapbooker will start with tickets just for coming! Then we'll be giving each registered scrapbooker a challenge book. For each challenge they complete they will be awarded a ticket. Then we'll give away tickets for completed pages...and all kinds of other FUN stuff. The challenge will help you keep moving, and get you to try things perhaps you wouldn't try otherwise.

What do tickets have to do with that prize package?
You'll be able to put your ticket into a drawing for each prize package to be given away. We will draw the tickets on Saturday...but you don't have to be present to win. Our only requirement is that you register for the event. (so if you can only come on Friday you can still win a prize).

We have added a new section on our website called Layout & Book Sample Gallery that we are (slowly) building. There are only a couple projects at this time, but keep your eye on it, it will soon be growing!

Speaking of our website, here's a little tip.
If you want to see the latest products we've added to our site go to this link. This link takes you to a listing of ALL the products on our website, which have been sorted by the date added - newest to oldest products. There are some other ways to sort the products as well, there is a drop down menu box that allows you to change the way they are sorted. But this is a quick way to see what we've recently added. We are open next Friday April 10th 10am-5pm for shopping.
We are open next Saturday April 11th 9am-10m for shopping and cropping. The crop is only $5.00. Please be prepared that our shop is in show mode...so our merchandise is in our pods...not our usual set up but the merchandise is out and ready for you to shop!

We are gearing up for National Scrapbook Day with lots of new products and bargains. (oohhhhh the bargins!). We already have 30 women scrapbooking with us in May...and they are coming from all over!!! We hope you won't delay in registering if you are planning on attending this event! Remember if you are cropping with us or taking classes you need to preregister and prepay!

We've added classes to the National Scrapbook Day Event May 1st & 2nd.


This 6x6 album is a great small project to keep special memories and photos in. Custom made by Julie Creek this book has chipboard covers, giant envelopes and tags. This book will be made custom for each class attendee. You provide us with the papers, and we'll custom cut the pages for you. You can transform this book into any style or type of book by changing the papers! During class you will learn how to use the Bind It All binding system. You will leave with a book that you can embellish to your hearts delight.

You will need to provide: 1. two coordinating colors of cardstock-4 peices each color. 2. Paper for covering the chipboard exterior. (we used 1 12x12 sheet) 3. 6x6 Coordinating cardstock color 4. Paper cutter 5. Quick Dry Adhesive 6. Brayer (optional) You can bring your papers with you or arrive early to pick out and pay for your selection.




Give your pages eclectic flair! Learn how to think outside the box, and mix up your scrapbook style! During class you'll make one 12x12 layout and an additional page. You will learn to alter things you put on your scrapbook pages and learn to look at things in a whole new light. If your pages are all starting to look the same this class is for you! We will paint, use rub ons, use stickles, chipboard and much more! This class is not recommended for beginners!
Bring to class: Pencil, Paper cutter, scissors, adhesive, brown ink pad, brown ink pen. (we have brown inkpads and pens in the shop for sale if you need one come early to purchase)


Love the look of machine sewing on your scrapbook pages? Are you daunted by the thought of using your machine on paper? FEAR NO MORE!! In this class you bring your machine and put it to use. We will sew on cards, layouts and even photos. Leave with 2 stitched cards, and a scrapbook page that you custom pick out the papers for. We wanted you to make a page custom to fit your needs, so you'll provide the papers (see list below) and then you can adapt the page you make in class to fit your needs. We will also show you how to turn that page into a 2 page layout.
Bring to class: Your sewing machine, Paper trimmer, adhesive, black pen, ruler, red thread, for the layout:
1 piece background paper (heavyweight like cardstock)
2 pieces coordinating heavyweight paper (like cardstock)
9 scraps of coordinating pattern paper (6"x4" size)

I've got all the great stuff together, I even took pictures of it yesterday and then I left my camera at home today!
So I'm starting the contest off without the actual picture of the prize package. You'll just have to trust me on this one - there is some great stuff in it! I've got quite a bit of stuff in this package right now but if we get over 50 comments, I'll add more!
