2013 Update

If you could of lived with me in 2012 you would of FELT what you see in the photo above.  A giant page in my life turning, turning, turning.  It was an exciting, exhausting, terrifying and wonderful year.  We sold our home in Illinois and purchased land in Indiana, which will have to be developed.  We moved to a rental.  My son purchased a home in Indiana.  We spent time helping him to prepare the house for his new bride!  



This son of mine is a gift.  You might remember how he struggled to LIVE after a staff infection ate a whole in spine.  What a story of mercy, grace and answered prayer he is! Our son fell in love with a young lady that we LOVE too!  She is a DELIGHTFUL young lady who brings much happiness and balance to my very serious son.  Remember ladies, when you think all is lost and God isn't listening to your prayers HE IS!  Keep praying!

 

The wedding was in September, Covered Bridge in October, Scrap Camp in November.

To add excitement to our already "boring " year we bought a home in Perrysville, Indiana to move the business to. 

 

Our plan was to move the shop into the garage which is on site and remodel the interior of the house for a crafting retreat center.  (I've been asked quite a bit if we live in the house and we do not.)

 

It looked simple.

It looked EASY.

It looked fun.

 

It was NOT.

 

We have spent nearly every waking hour since November working on our new residence for the business and quiet honestly we're tired.  ;)

 

I'm behind on everything.  My home office has been piling since Nov 1.

Our own plans to build a home have not been touched.

 

We are content. (and tired)

We are blessed.  (and tired)

We are excited.  (and tired)

 

We thrilled to be able to open the home to you this Friday and Saturday, Jan 18th and 19th from 10am-5pm Indiana time. 

 

Come and walk though the house and see what River Retreat House looks like.

The house can be booked for crafting weekends for up to 10 women.  The house is all on one floor and boasts of 10 twin beds and 10 six foot crafting tables.  We do not provide meal service, but the house has a fully equipped kitchen. 

 

Weekend retreats are only $100.00 and groups of  7 more get a 30% discount.  If you know of a Creative Memories Consultant, Stampin Up Rep or other crafting business person would you please do us the honor of passing this information along to them?  We will gladly host other types of business in the house.  If you have questions email Julie at creek@dish.net.

Scrap Camp

Scrap Camp is an event we host at Hanging Rock Christian Camp in West Lebanon, Indiana.  It is a great place to host camp and it is a time for us to connect with you, offer classes and more!  Our last retreat had over 70 women from all over three states! 

We did have to move our spring Scrap Camp date.  (my apologies on that).  We will host

SCRAP CAMP  May 17-19, 2013.  The weekend fee is still only $100.00 and registration is on our site here. 

I have made a few changes in how camp will run and I will send out additional information updating you on all that along with room upgrade information NEXT WEEK.  I will set a date next week to release room upgrades and that will be announced through this blog and our face book page.
